About Mie /
Mie started her career as a model for a fashion magazine in Japan, and later worked as a model for corporate advertisements, TV appearances, fashion shows, catalogs, and promotional videos. In 2008, she moved to Hawaii from Japan upon her marriage to pro surfer Teppei Tajima. Since then, she has been active as a model and designer while raising three children in Hawaii.
She is grateful for the people she encounters in Hawaii, the land, and nature, and donates a portion of her brand's sales to the Hawaiian Legacy Foundation, which plants trees, leading a natural lifestyle in harmony with nature. With over 100,000 followers on Instagram, she is an attractive influencer who continues to be popular with fans of all ages, especially women.
In 2022, she participated in the launch of Sheep Deep Sleep, the first Dry head spa in the United States, as a general producer. She supervised a wide range of projects from the interior design to the business concept.
Interior Desgin /
At the start of the Sheep Deep Sleep project, she put the most effort into producing the store space design.
Because of her work as a model, she knows the importance of taking care of her body on a daily basis. Sleep is also an essential part of those cares.
It was inevitable for her to design a store that would maximize the relaxing aroma and massages using the Akie Method.
She not only designed the store, but also participated in the interior construction herself. She put more attention to the space than anyone else.
I participated in the entire interior construction process from a clean slate, including stripping flooring, cutting wood, painting and tiling.
I am happy to be able to offer the best relaxing space, along with the joy of completing something we designed with our own hands.
I hope you will enjoy the best experience of relaxing and forgetting your daily life.
